“Protecting Democracy”? Follow the money.

Why does The Lincoln Project matter? As the fall of this group is documented, the true story hides behind the pressed shirts and headshots of the donors at the top of its list. In a world where we now are strapped to seek the truth out on our own, the trail always begins and ends with the money.
To care why The Lincoln Project falling matters, you must know why they said they were started. The group presented its PAC (political action committee) in 2019 as a group of former and present Republicans that wanted Trump out. The face at the front of the group was George Conway. Why does his name sound familiar? Because he is the husband of Kellyanne Conway … yes, the staunch Trump supporter, adviser and insider. I know that politics makes strange bedfellows; but this one was one of the oddest of all. Yet, it was on the beginning of the money trail of betrayal.

Conway was in the company of Steve Schmidt, John Weaver and Rick Nelson as the “founding fathers” of this supposed Republican-led mission to rid the country of Trump. The optics were good. Grandfathered in establishment GOP royalty that served for John McCain and George W. Bush campaigns were simply raising money to go on a full-throttle seek and destroy NeverTrump mission. But, just as the Devil is in the details, the Devil is also in the dollars.
It has been recently exposed that The Lincoln Project was essentially pocketing large portions of the money and only using some for their mission to indoctrinate people to hate Trump and vote him out. I know people personally that succumbed to some of their social media campaign to destroy Trump. They were funneling money to profit themselves; but they were actually effective. They were doing what was intended — peel layers and numbers away from the Republican Party to ensure a Trump loss … a “Republican” loss. That goal seems almost counter-productive until you look at their donor list.
For a complete list, please see below. But, I am going to review their top 3 cash cows. When following the money, always start at the top.
- Democratic “dark money group” Majority Forward donated $1.35 million – Majority Forward actually isn’t that dark if you shine a light on it. Majority Forward was previously headed up by JB Poersch (pictured above). He is an insider and head of many SuperPac’s, most recently the president of Senate Majority PAC … he is a documented close ally to Chuck Schumer. Yes … Chuck Schumer.
- Gordon Getty – Mr. Getty gave The Lincoln Project $1 million dollars. The billionaire is the son of oil tycoon J. Paul Getty. He is a composer, but it seems his largest contribution to this country is to use his money to be a political King-maker. He is part of the “Faithful Eight” that handed Gavin Newsom the gubernatorial seat in California. Gavin Newsom’s father, Bill, was a lifelong friend of Getty. Newsom later managed the family trust valued by Forbes to be worth more than $2 billion. Bill Newsom (yes, Gavin’s father) was so close to the Getty family that he was one of the people that helped deliver the ransom money after the 1973 kidnapping of J. Paul Getty’s grandson, John Paul Getty III. Are you starting to understand WHY we call these current politicians “elites”?

3. And, number 3 on the top donors list is Stephen Frank Mandel tying Getty with $1 million dollar donation. Mr. Mandel is no stranger to Forbes’ famous lists. In 2018 he took the #15 spot as the Highest Earning Hedge Fund Managers list, he was #962 on the 2019 Billionaires list. His background spans from Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire to Harvard and his path to a $2.5 billion dollar net worth sprouted from silver spoon fed jobs at Goldman Sachs and Tiger Management. He is also openly a Democrat.

Why do billionaire hedge fund managers matter? Competitive Advantage Research examined campaign spending of 570 hedge fund managers and senior executives have used their monetary influence to sway elections. In New York alone, they reached nearly $40 billion in contributions and topping the list was … wait for it … Gov. Andrew Cuomo who scooped up $4,832,140.34 over his tenure as Governor and Attormey General from the hedge fund managers.
Now, here is the question the entire populous NEEDS to ask, ask again, then ask over again if needed and then be open enough to accept the answer. WHY ARE HEDGE FUND MANAGERS FUNDING LEADERS OF THE STATES AND DONATING TO DESTROY AND REMOVE A SITTING PRESIDENT? Why are silver-spoon, billionaire elites behind the funding of a sham “Republicans against Trump” group? Why is a group hijacking the name of a great Republican President to be used as an ACTUAL vehicle of the Democratic Party? Were they actually funneling that money? Or, was is their “pay” for behaving like pseudo-Republicans because that cover would carry more weight and achieve the true end goal of depleting the Trump vote amongst Republicans.
And, in the case, the BILLION dollar question is this: What is it that they want so badly that they are willing to part with millions and billions to get? And, are you naĂŻve enough to think the answer to that has anything to do with you? Why would the 1%ers that the Left profess to hate so much be the true money behind funding the placement or removal of leaders of the highest ranks in government? Would they REALLY be donating to be the target of higher taxes? Would they REALLY be donating so much money for equity when their whole lives are the epitome of elite privilege?
They will tell you on the news that the fall of The Lincoln Project is mostly about one co-founder sexually harassing young men; potentially criminally and disgustingly. But, the true story is on the path of the money. It should worry you, it should make you wonder, you should hunger to understand more as to how current leaders such as Newsom and Cuomo are being placed like pieces on a chess board as the rest of us are played as pawns fighting one another.
Because if you follow the money … it will lead you to the truth.
